Note from Your Publisher: Emotional Support

Everyone Needs it Now and Then

By Heather Leigh Carroll-Landon, PhD - Publisher Macaroni Kid, Henderson-Boulder City, North Las Vegas, & SW Las Vegas January 15, 2021

Greetings everyone!!

How has 2021 started off for you? To be honest, it has been a little rough here and the one thing I learned this past week is it is okay to ask for help with you need it. That is the one thing I have always struggled with. For me, it was more emotional help, rather than someone actually helping me with some work. With such a tough year already I am blessed to be surrounded by friends and family who are always willing to check in on me (even if we live so far apart from one another) and allow me to be me. They allow me to talk about what ever is othering me without judgment. I love that and because they offer that to me, I take the time and offer it back to anyone who just needs someone to listen to them.

Basically what I am trying to say is there are so many are emotionally struggling right now. Many are like me. Afraid to ask for help. Be the person who is there, offering emotional support. Even when a friend does not ask. If they are like me, they want the emotional support. They are just afraid to ask for what they need help with.

Remember, be there. Be present. Tell them you are there for them. And always tell others how much you love them and appreciate them being a part of your life.

Have a fabulous week!
